I'm On a Roll: Partial Book Review
The book is titled, “Why Do I Love These People,” written by Po Bronson. This book tells stories about LOVE. Some is about mushy-gushy love. Most is about loving people when circumstances would assume you to flee AWAY from loving that person. It’s about the kind of love that’s SELFLESS. It’s about the wife who wanted her husband to save HIMSELF from an affair, just as much as their marriage. It’s about the love between and daughter and her mother. It’s about the love of a father and a son. It’s about overcoming, and not accepting your circumstances and making your own– good circumstances. Mostly, I am loving this book so far because IT’S RAW! It’s truthful. While some families mended, others have not until they have moved on. It gives me a glimpse into the TRUE MEANING of LOVING SOMEONE. I’m not done with the book, so I have not tied everything together. However, I am realizing that sometimes it takes a lot to love someone but it takes A WHOLE, WHOLE, WHOLE, WHOLE lot in order to REALLY, REALLY, REALLY ….truly…. LOVE SOMEONE!! I think it’s going to be a great lesson for me. Not to mention, we could all use a reminder of the “GIVE it takes to love other’s deeply!”
