Pinterest

I've had a {Love-Hate Relationship} with Pinterest! Now, it's all love. I know.... I know.... I know. You're probably thinking I'm telling y'all nothin' new. But I have to tell you my favorite things about Pinterest! Just have to!

Looking for a brown leather bag? Pinterest.

Looking for headboard ideas for your best friend? Pinterest.

Looking for home decorating ideas? Pinterest.

Looking for that perfect diamond ring for when Mr. Right comes along... one... of... these... days? Pinterest.

And my second favorite part? Naming my boards...

Good News!

I have not left the seat I'm {currently} sitting in except to get something to drink, eat and print out my Media Law notes all day long. Okay, so maybe I watched Criminal Minds and {pretended to study Media Law} earlier tonight. But HEY! I needed a break!
An hour ago, I believed the paper I was writing would be the death of me, but I just finished!
One word: Relief!

I admit it! I've already started making plans for to keep myself REALLY busy cooking, making crafts, spending quality time with my parents, putting together a NEW blog design and searching for jobs... or a one-way airplane ticket overseas. It's still up in the air! Let's be real, I will probably never move half way across the world to work for a year. I'm much too practical. But it is a fun thought, right?!

I'm not sure if it's the lack of sleep, the haze of finals, or the excitement of Christmas break; however, over the last two days I am finding some clarity that comes and goes. Hopefully it's here to stay. Earlier tonight I wrote a prayer to God and thought I would share. It's refreshing and comforting to THANK God, when I could easily believe He has left my side.

God:
Thank you for this motivation. Thank you for Your Grace, and I even thank you for this awful heartbreak. Thank you for helping me through this rocky semester! Thank you for the strength that is NOT my own. I'm not sure of what you're doing. I don't have a clue!
But here I am... empty handed.... thanking you for giving me everything I NEED!
I'm trusting you. My faith is in YOU! Amen.

Also, I have to share what I'm REALLY excited about baking for the Christmas Holidays!

Red Velvet-Peppermint Cake

Red Velvet Peppermint Cake

My grandmother {or G'ma} made a Red Velvet cake every year for my dad as his Christmas present, since I can remember. So I've decided that it's my time to make Red Velvet Cake every Christmas. I've missed it! Plus, the picture of that cake screams...

Christmas!
And it's only one final exam away!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ [a] the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."  --Luke 2: 10-12

It's Compromise That Moves Us Along

I beg you to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves, as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now because you wouldn't be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday in the far future, you will gradually-- without even noticing it-- live your way to the answer.

So, About That

The more often I write, the more "drafts" I find in my Blogger. I've been working on a few posts and then... it's writer's block. I guess I will excuse myself, anyway, finals are looming.

Tomorrow, I'm headed to visit my parents for the s-h-o-r-t Thanksgiving Holiday before the BIG game on Friday, the Iron Bowl. Roll Tide Roll!
But before then, I wanted to show you some of the things I've found that I either want and will never actually buy. There's also some stuff I would LOVE to receive for Christmas.

Christmas is coming soon.... Mom (not that you even know my blog exists...)

In LOVE with the whole outfit. The shirt, the shirt, the belt.
Plus, it's from J. Crew and who doesn't love J. Crew?

I would have paired the shirt with the above skirt, but J.Crew
didn't ask me. Reminds me of the fall... sitting next to a bonfire, roasting
marshmallows, laughing with friends.

Not crazy about the colors J. Crew has available for this dress,
but it's perfect. It's stylish, classic and has just enough but not too many ruffles!

This would be the PERFECT Christmas present.
Just sayin'!

I desperately need more shirts to go under cardigans
since they're my new favorite clothing! And because I'm in college and I need
something to wear on the weekends, yet classy enough to wear to chapter.
Just keepin' it real around here, people.

I've never been able to justify the purchase of a pair of Chacos,
but these puppies are BEGGING me to put them on my feet!
Christmas gift from the parentals? I believe so!

I found these clutches on one of my favorite websites, Southern Weddings Magazine! I'm not making appearances at fancy soiree's so I have no need for them. Sad, sad day.
