Perspective

I have been running last minute Christmas errands this morning. And when Carrie Underwood's song  {"So Small""} came on the radio in my car, it really got me thinking about perspective during this Christmas season!

When your heart is broken, the tiniest of things can break the already broken pieces. It's like the old adage about sticking your hand back into the fire again and again... yeah... I'm good at that!  Yesterday morning, during an incredibly emotional Sunday morning service at my home church, Evergreen, I was reminded that this CHRISTMAS season is meant for birth, rebirth and HOPE!

Perspective is a funny thing! Sometimes it's difficult to find the balance between those things you struggle with... those things that REALLY hurt... and other things  you that are not as important as you make them.

Here are my favorite lyrics:
"It's so easy to get lost inside
a problem that seems so big at the time
it's like a river that's so wide
it swallows you whole
While you sit around thinking about what you can't change
and worrying about all the wrong things
time's flying by
moving so fast
you better make it count 'cause you can't get it back"

Everyone needs a reminder of perspective once in a while, including me.

                                                    MERRY CHRISTMAS WEEK!
